| The cinema station is the Ķeipene railway station with the only preserved track section of the former Riga-Ergļi route, an exposition for the great film director Sergejs. Eisenstein, old film equipment, a real sea navigation fire sign – a tribute to J.Podnieks and an environmental installation – a giant table for the cinema greats. The table is six metres high, with two chairs next to it and a stylised porthole in the back of one of the chairs.
The film installation was created when the Arsenāls Film Festival team and like-minded friends travelled to Ķeippen, where carrier pigeons were once used for communication. There is no cemetery, church or inn in Könipen, but there is a wonderful old railway station where you can meditate with cinema greats, “ring” Marilyn Monroe, Federico Fellini, Lucchino Visconti, learn about the history of cinema and the master of the cinema language S. Eisenstein or just enjoy a slightly surreal feeling of a lost time. 2017In 2017, a new environmental installation was built underground – the 8 metre long and 4 metre wide “Potemkin’s Well”, designed as an exhibition hall underground, with the main focus on the armoured ship Potemkin.
