The museum is located in the former centre of Plateres parish, in the Plateres Primary School, built in 1868. The first Latvian press magnate and millionaire Anton Benjamins and composer Kārlis Kažociņš worked here.

Currently, the museum hosts the permanent exhibition “The Bolshevist System’s Glitter and Misery”. The exhibition is open every day by appointment.
