Ķirezers nature trail is located between the local road V101 Lilaste-Saulkrasti 0.1 km and the railway line Riga-Skulte – 0.1 km. The circular trail winds around Kirezers with a beautiful landscape – a lake, a swamp forest and plants typical for a swamp: pigweed, sedges, cranesbill, chickweed and small pine and birch trees. The lake covers an area of 2.2 hectares and has an average depth of 1.3 metres. A lot of work and time has been invested in cleaning up the surroundings of the lake, so when going out into nature, remember – what you bring, you take away, and if you see any pollution, inform the relevant authorities.
