Vik’s fairytale characters have been capturing the hearts of children (and not only children) since the 1980s. Vikas (real name: Viktors Kalniņš) has won several literary prizes and awards.

Twenty-eight Vikas fairytale characters can be found in Vikas Fairytale Park. Ness and Nessie, the Rune Fairy and other characters have made their home here. Children will also find here the Kangaroo, who has been a favourite with visitors since the first day of the park.

Not only will you find wooden figures of the characters made by the sculptors Rūrān brothers in the Vika Fairytale Park, but after a stroll along the park’s paths you can have a picnic in a specially arranged rest area next to the park. A playground awaits children, where they can climb on specially made wooden figures to their heart’s content.
