The historical centre of Dagda includes red brick houses, the so-called “Jewish merchants’ houses”, the Dagda Tourist Information Point (located in the old synagogue), monuments, the former Dagda cinema “Komsomol”, and a historical mural. In 1847, 68% of the total population of Dagda was Jewish. At that time there were 77 Jewish houses and 3 synagogues in Dagda. Today, the preserved houses are managed and some of them still have shops.
