Lubāns Castle Mound is located at the western border of Dagda town, on the left side of the Dagda – Krāslava highway. At the foot of the hill is Lake Lubuoneņš. The hillfort is a well-maintained place for walking and rest. There is a lookout point with a magnificent view of the town of Dagda and its surroundings. The relative height of the castle hill is about 30 m.
