The Litorina Discovery Trail is a breathtaking path that stretches along the Baltic Sea coast. This 2.8 km long trail passes through a picturesque coastal forest and offers spectacular views from a 23 m high cliff called the Dutch Cap. The trail is a favourite place for Klaipeda residents and has a rich history, having been frequently visited by Queen Louise of Prussia in the 19th century. The trail itself is named after the ancient sea Litorina, whose coastline is preserved here. There are information boards along the trail about this geological wonder and wooden signs to help you find your way. The route also overlaps with other well-known walking trails, such as the Sea Trail and the Health Trail. Take the opportunity to enjoy the magnificent sea views from the many viewpoints and even the cliff-side swing.
